Wellbeing

There are many professional services on the Mornington Peninsula that dedicate their lives to making people comfortable, happy and healthy. Cat Stevens once said that “communal well-being is central to human life”. It’s this ethos that drives many on the Pen and we hope that by highlighting the achievements and services of this special group of people that it will serve as inspiration to strive for a more balanced wellbeing.

Peninsula Hot Springs

In 1997, after bathing in the thermal springs of Japan, Charles and Richard Davidson had a vision to bring the hot springs experience to Australia. After eight years of planning and with plenty of perseverance and determination, they opened the first stage of this multi stage development in 2005.

Ellegant You

The best made plans are the ones you leave to someone else with the only detail you need to worry about is who you want to share the experience with. If you’re after an extraordinary experience, something that can replenish your energy, pamper your soul and play with your senses then this is for you.

Southern Cosmetics

If you’re wondering why we’ve chosen a Peacock to launch the entry of Southern Cosmetics into the Mornington Peninsula scene, please rest assured. The humble peacock symbolises vision, guidance, protection, awakening but the spirit animal is the epitome of beauty. This graceful power animal offers lessons about self-love, honour, integrity and the importance of facing life’s challenges as well as the unknown with courage and confidence.

Hothut Yoga

Creative thinking inspires ideas, ideas inspire change and innovation comes from creating environments where ideas and people connect. What we enjoy most is meeting people who have a real interest in life-work balance, sharing ideas and implementing those ideas.

MP Skin Check

It's not a stretch to say that we're all familiar with the "slip, slop, slap" message; however, new research says the risk of skin damage under the sun's rays must be taken more seriously. In a world-first study, researchers from the ANU and NZIWAR found that, on average, regions like the Mornington Peninsula and cities like Melbourne only experienced two days a year where there wasn't enough UV to get sun damage. Two days! They found that even if the UV index is low and if you're outside for more than 15 minutes... you're at risk. Making sure you prioritise a skin check is just as important as a health check.

Bentons Road Vet

Walking into Bentons Rd Veterinary Clinic, you immediately feel at ease, and that is exactly the feeling that Dr Kelly Halls and her team have worked very hard to create. They want both the humans and the animals that visit their clinic to feel comfortable, and for it to be a stress free experience for all creatures, great and small.

Presentation Family Centre

We want to tell you about an accommodation facility that’s not open to the general public because, well, this place embodies the basic community spirit that we want to celebrate and preserve on the Peninsula. Since opening in 1989, Presentation Family Centre in Balnarring has given accommodation and support to tens of thousands of people including victims of domestic violence, financially disadvantaged families, those suffering physical or mental ill health, and refugees.
