Indian Villa Rye

From the bustling streets of Punjab to the breezy shores of the Mornington Peninsula, Indian Villa is more than a restaurant. It’s a story of two friends, Harry and Amid, who brought with them not only their culinary skill but also the spirit of hospitality deeply woven into Indian culture. With two restaurants — one in Dromana and one in Rye — they’ve created places where heritage, flavour, and community come together in every shared meal.

Local resident and talented architect Michael Baker exudes enthusiasm for all things creative. Architecture, landscapes, family, food, surfing and community. Michael spoke fervently about the incredibly diverse creative community that live and work in Mount Eliza and across the Mornington Peninsula.

We Love Vulcano Gelato!

Vulcano Gelato in Rye has a deep connection to the Ritrovo Remigio’ – a café established in 1960 on the breathtakingly beautiful island of Vulcano located off the coast of Sicily, Italy. It was here at Ritrovo Remigio that the secret base recipe of gelato served in Vulcano Gelato was inspired and cultivated. In 2008, Vulcano Gelato opened in Rye with the single hearted aim of improving the quality and taste of the universally loved authentic Italian gelato and granita.
