The 2017 MOTH International Women’s Day Show show will be a celebration of female musical talent featuring many artists that have played at MOTH over the last 12 months.

With Ella Hooper, Gretta Ray, Leah Senior, Ladychoir, Gena Rose Bruce, Charm of Finches, Jessie Lloyd and the Mission Songs Project, Heidi Luckhurst, Ling Marra and special guests.

After the success of our 2016 IWD gig, we are moving the 2017 show to the theatre at the Southern Peninsula Arts Centre in Rosebud on the Friday before International Women’s Day.

The MOTH International Women’s Day Show will be fund-raiser event and proceeds will go to The Luke Batty Foundation, music scholarships for local students and the MOTH equipment fund.

Tickets: the first tickets release will be available to MOTH 2017 members from Wednesday 25 January. A second release will be available to the general public from Wednesday 1 February via musiconthehill.com.au.

MOTH IWD Show. Friday 3 March 2017. Doors 6.30pm. Southern Peninsula Arts Centre, 245 Eastbourne Road.

Tickets: general admission. Complimentary supper snacks will be served at the interval. Local wines and beers will be available.

Ticket prices: Adult MOTH 2017 member $45, Child MOTH 2017 member $15, Adult non-member $50, Child non-member $20

The MOTH show will launch a week of special events at the Southern Peninsula Arts Centre leading to International Women’s Day including ‘A Woman’s Place’ featuring our very own ‘door person’ and actor Carole Patullo. More info about the other IWD events can be found here.

MOTH on the first Friday in every Month

Music on the Hill – or MOTH – is a new monthly music venue in Red Hill that brings great Australian talent to one of Victoria’s most popular regional areas.

Presenting a variety of national and international touring and recording artists who are supported by the best local talent, MOTH is a venue with a difference. It features a capacity of 100, an intimately comfortable atmosphere, excellent sound quality and soft lighting – all ensuring that the music is the focus.

The organisers, who are Red Hill locals, have created a welcoming and friendly environment where accomplished singer songwriters perform to music lovers in an intimate setting. They aim to develop a warm, social atmosphere and nurture a genuine music club feel.

Moth takes place on the first Friday of every month.
(if Good Friday falls on the first Friday, then MOTH will be held the following day).

Tickets are $20 for adult MOTH members and $25 for non-members, $10 for children MOTH members and $15 for children non-members (17 years and under) and are available via TryBooking.

MOTH is hosted by and supports Red Hill sporting clubs and profits go towards the clubs, the artists and the hiring of equipment on the night.
