Red Hill Cheese. A Tasting Experience.

Part of the allure of visiting Red Hill Cheese is that it’s down a quiet country road, surrounded by a majestic natural environment in the forest. From the tasting room and deck, you can discover the different styles from the Cheese-maker’s selection of premium cheeses. From our perspective this is a tasting experience where visitors often return to discover new seasonal, artisan cheeses.

Award Winning Dairy

It’s summertime at Main Ridge Dairy, the season for their award winning hard cheeses - called Caprinella & Capony. This time of year the milk volume from the goats generally drops as feed hardens. Like all things from this award winning dairy, good planning and care prevails and due to the great cut of silage this year (harvested on the farm) the girls are well fed through summer which keeps them happy.

Springtime visitors to Main Ridge Dairy take note! Goats are kidding and all the new kids are in the paddock in front of the Cheesery - it’s here you’ll have a birds eye view of the frolicking. Whilst you’re doing that, why not enjoy a fresh coffee and treat or taste award winning cheese products made with love on site with a glass of locally produced wine.
