Vulcano Gelato, Rye

At Love the Pen, we have a confessed weakness for good gelato, a preference that easily trumps ice cream. The silky-smooth texture, the intensity of flavours, and the lower fat content make gelato a superior indulgence. Unlike its ice cream counterpart, gelato is churned at a slower rate, incorporating less air and resulting in a denser, more flavourful experience. It's served at a slightly warmer temperature, allowing the true essence of the ingredients to shine through. And let's not forget, it's an Italian masterpiece that has captured hearts globally.

South Beach, Mount Martha

South Beach, Mount Martha sits just above the shoreline, where light, space and the rhythm of the coast set the tone. With uninterrupted views across Port Phillip Bay, open indoor–outdoor seating and a calm, confident pace, it’s dining that protects how it feels to be there.

Their work affirms their powerful connection to their lands, waters and ancestors. The exhibition highlights the three vital and contemporary multidisciplinary practices and references the movement in the passages of water along the eastern coast of Australia connecting land and people of the Torres Strait in the far north to Tasmania in the south.

Cibo Deli, Mount Martha

Inside this green-and-white store is a selection of mouth-watering products and foods along with Italian Wine, Beer, Spirits, and Liquor. Cibo Deli Mt Martha is like 'Little Italy', only it's in the heart of Mount Martha's thriving Lochiel Avenue Strip. This upmarket Italian-style deli and grocer has a supreme collection of premium imported Italian and locally sourced foods. Their mission is to provide you with the most delicious epicurean treats for cooking, eating and entertaining.

Biji Dining

Something unique happened the other night in Red Hill South. We stumbled upon a dining pop-up that, apart from having incredibly delicious food, blew us away because it was so humble, imaginative, and authentic. It reminded us of days when things were a lot simpler, yet the food was far from that; it has such a sophistication, where the flavours of each meal took you on a journey far away.
