Mr Morce is one of those restaurants where you chat with your mates until the first plate hits the table then silence and anticipation prevail – one thing is for sure, however far you travel it’s going to be worth it. All the ingredients are top notch, and it seems like chefs Ryan James and Ed Day – the people behind the scenes – care are about how things taste, not just how they look.
On the Mornington Peninsula, with so much competition ‘every meal matters’ so their philosophy of fresh and in season applies but plating and delivery is beautiful, yet it doesn’t feel precious. Mr Morce is an airy space that welcomes you in, a blend of southern Australian charm meets Hamptons chic. If you live in the neighbourhood, it’s about to become your go-to place, and if you don’t, it’s about to become one of your destination restaurants – just off the main drag which makes it even more appealing for parking and peace. We love Mr Morce because it’s pumping out exceptional food that’s on a different level than most places in the southern end of the Pen.
