Winter Wine Weekend is held during the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June every year:

1.  Winter Wine fest – Saturday 8 June only (ticketed event) at Red Hill Showground
2.  Cellar Door activities and events – all Weekend at 47 participating Cellar Doors

The opening event of the weekend is the Winter Wine fest (Saturday only 11am – 4pm), held at the Red Hill Showground is an exhibition and tasting which traditionally marks the beginning of the extensive Winter Wine Weekend program. One place on one day all under cover where you can taste around 200 premium wines from 47 wineries matched by a special menu created by 9 chefs and one cheesemaker.

Pre booked tickets are $75 and on the day $80 – each ticket includes a complimentary Riedel tasting glass, all wine tastings, a tasting book and two entree sized dishes (more food vouchers also available for purchase). Designated driver tickets are also available for $65 ($70 on the day) and include all of the above except no wine tastings are included. Online tickets this year will be issued by Eventbrite, and food vouchers will be issued to all ticket holders on entry. Please note that wine by the glass will be available to purchase to enjoy with your meal if desired, but any wine purchased by bottle cannot to be consumed at the venue, due to Liquor Licensing.
