Music on the Hill (MOTH) March 6 line up

Music on the Hill, Friday 6 March, Red Hill Pavilion from 7.00pm.

Al Parkinson, Marty Nelson-Williams

We are pleased to announce that singer songwriters Al Parkinson and Marty Nelson-Williams will be playing MOTH on Friday 6 March 2015.

Simply watching Al Parkinson perform, you immediately feel like she is an old friend. Her relaxed presence and hilarious on stage banter is the perfect complement to her soulful voice and wonderfully constructed songs of love and loss.

Al is gearing up for the release of her second EP which will feature some old favourites and new songs with harmonies and swag from her 3 backing babes.

Al has shared the stage with some of Australia’s most highly regarded acts including Matt Corby (Communion Melbourne), Liz Stringer, Bonjah, Jordie Lane and Mia Dyson. She has also secured international supports with David Ryan Harris (USA) and Ryan Keen (UK), to name a few.

Stripped back like old time blues, her music is what music should be; Honest and real.

“Every now and then someone special comes along, and I think she’s one of them.” – Liz Stringer

“Her bluesy, soulful voice is not what you expect from the casual girl in jeans, and it has the crowd transfixed from start to end.” – Monique Sebire (Tonedeaf)

Sharing the bill and opening the night will be Peninsula-based singer songwriter Marty Nelson-Williams.

Marty has been championing original music on this land for well over a decade, and his songs from the heart are filled with community spirit, love, and passion for the environment and our ancient sacred heritage. You can only leave one
of his gigs feeling uplifted and inspired.
