Walk from Red Hill to Merricks with local vignerons and friends to celebrate the end of harvest and experience current vintage wines. Taste a variety of wines along the way complemented by a fine selection of food. A beautiful meandering historical rail track provides the perfect way.

Details of 2017 event to be finalised but will be similar format, however each ticket sold will help to contribute to our fundraising cause for 2017 – the remarkable Fred Hollow Foundation – each $25 helps end avoidable blindess for someone in the world! Each ticket sold will help save one person.

2016 Event: Meet us at Red Hill Market – we will proceed to amble along a purpose built walking track to Red Hill South. After stopping at Red Hill Epicurean for a taste of Foxey’s Sparkling Wine and tasty treats we will walk along a beautiful historic rail trail to a private vineyard to meet Paringa Estate showcasing a Chardonnay & Pinot Noir matched to canapes created by Chef Julian Hills and then down to Stonier and Merricks General Wine Store in Merricks. As usual we will have a few surprises along the way also. Join local vignerons to celebrate the end of the 2016 harvest from Red Hill to Merricks…around 10 kilometres. return to Lindenderry by bus for a light lunch.

Buses will be available to return walkers to Lindenderry from Merricks from 12 – 3pm

*Please note, the walking track from Red Hill to Merricks is quite well maintained but good walking shoes are recommended. Other than the odd muddy patch in wet seasons, the track provides for an easy walk which is all on a level or slightly down hill terrain. There is one steep but very short up hill section mid way.

When booking a ticket you will have the option of a 9am or 10am during the booking procedure
