Paintings & Ceramics by Margaret Amond, Textiles by Sally Amond

There is excitement in the combination of colour in Margaret’s paintings. The subject matter is varied and the artist paints mainly in acrylic and sometimes uses mixed media and collage. Margaret began painting and working with fabrics at a young age and in many of her paintings, the two mediums come together in a painterly fashion.

Sally is fascinated with fabric patterns, texture and colour. She is enjoying the opportunity to join Margaret in showing some of her creative talent. When she was growing up, there was always some form of creative activity happening within the house, whether it was macrame, painting, cooking, sculpting or sewing. In this exhibition, Sally has experimented and used some of her mother’s designs in her work.
