Once in a while something raises the hair on the back of your neck. Something incredibly minimal, beautiful & breakable. This is that show. Small in approach, big in ideas. When he was a child Nick Steur balanced rocks on top of each other. At a crucial time in his artistic career, he rediscovered this skill and created a performance with mindboggling stone sculpturing. No glue, cement or any other trick is involved. Seeing is almost believing – it’s all about concentration and “finding the balance between your own force of will, and that of the stone”. Share some of his focus and we might experience that true happiness lies in the luxury of being occupied with one thing only.

Produced by Richard Jordan Productions, & Theater-aan-Zee in association with Theatre Royal Plymouth, Big in Belgium and Summerhall.

By arrangement with Adelaide Festival.
