Cruden Farm is one of Victoria’s most exciting green spaces. It is a place of public recreation, located less than an hour from Melbourne. The property was left by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch for people to enjoy and consists of wondrous manicured gardens and peaceful walking areas, set amongst interesting bushland and lakes.

September sees the start of real Spring in the garden, with the flowering cherries and crab-apples indeed abundant; alongside the late blooming daffodil bulbs. The elms show their delightful green blossoms in literal pom-poms of colour. Come and listen to the constant buzz of the bees as they dash from one flower to the next; it’s a busy time of the year for everyone in Cruden Farm’s gardens.

On Sunday 15th September you are welcome to take a tour or just come for the day and have a leisurely stroll around the gardens and farm. You are welcome to bring a snack or lunch or you can purchase light refreshments from our pop-up kitchen window!
