What do good books and good wine have in common? They’re full of personality, and they can be the start of a great conversation.
On March 27, the literary meets the culinary at Books and Ideas at Montalto, presented by the Wheeler Centre.

In Red Hill, on the Mornington Peninsula, join writer Alice Bishop for an intimate discussion about her work – accompanied by excellent food and wine in a relaxed setting.

Alice Bishop grew up in Christmas Hills, a town ravaged by the Black Saturday bushfires. A Constant Hum, her much-anticipated debut, was commended by the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript and shortlisted for the Penguin Random House Literary Prize.
Stories in the collection won the 2017 Lord Mayor’s Prize and the Rachel Funari Prize.
Alice’s writing has been widely praised for its stunning detail, and its gripping and attentive language – and, sadly, its renewed immediacy.

At Montalto this March, join Alice Bishop for a conversation, hosted by Elizabeth McCarthy, about regrowth, resilience, and its cost.

Tickets: $75, plus a one-off transaction of $4.00 per order; wine charged on consumption.
Ticket and book (collected at event): $102.50, plus a one-off transaction of $4.00 per order.
