There’s always more happening than we can bring to your attention but this section is a selection of some of the events the LTP editorial team will experience throughout the year.

The 98th Red Hill Show at Red Hill Showgrounds

Held each year on the Saturday of the March long weekend, this lively celebration of agriculture, produce competitions, rural life and community spirit offers a fun-filled day out for all ages. From traditional livestock competitions and vintage machinery to farm animals, food trucks, live music, carnival rides, cooking demos, and hundreds of creative exhibits, the Show is a colourful patchwork of everything that makes the region special.

Secret Stash Beer Festival & Whisky Tasting at Red Hill Brewery

The Head Brewer David Golding will host sessions of guided vertical tastings over the weekend. Delving into his cellars to share rarities from the past decade, a special feature on Stouts, with a very special release of a whisky barrel aged Imperial Stout, a collaboration with Chiefs Son Distillery, who are joining us for a special tasting event.

Join the crews from Red Hill Brewery and Chiefs Son Distillery in a guided tasting of Imperial Stout and Whisky. Dave will take your through this year’s Imperial Stout, share the new collab brew with Chiefs Son Distillery, which is the Pancho Mole Imperial Stout aged in a whisky barrel.

Live Music Every Sunday at JimmyRum

We have a great outdoor area that is dog and kid friendly! Come listen to some chill tunes with awesome cocktails (or beer and wine if you prefer) with our signature dishes from Hanger Steak and Slow cooked Lamb, or just nibble on an antipasto board.

Boutique Wine Tastings at Fenton Hall

Eight wineries situated within 5km of scenic Merricks North on the Mornington Peninsula are kindly donating tastings of boutique wines to help fund the restoration of historic Fenton Hall. Each patron will receive a delicious snack pack with local cheeses and quince paste and some wineries are offering fabulous food. Local businesses are kindly donating valuable prizes, such as wine and cider.
