With sweeping bay views, winding roads and plenty of reasons to get outdoors, Arthurs Seat is one of those Peninsula destinations that deserves a spot on your must-visit list.
At 314 metres above sea level, the summit of Arthurs Seat State Park offers a different perspective on the coastline, while the much-loved Arthurs Seat Eagle takes you soaring above the treetops for a bird’s-eye view of the landscape. If you’re after something a little more adventurous, the Enchanted Adventure Garden has mazes, tree surfing and plenty to keep the family entertained.
There’s plenty to discover beyond the big attractions, too. Wander through Seawinds Gardens, where native and exotic plants share the grounds with sculptures by renowned artist William Ricketts, or take the Arthurs Seat Loop Scenic Drive through the hills for a leisurely tour of the area. Walking trails, cycling routes and beautiful lookouts make it easy to spend a few hours exploring at your own pace.
Around 90 kilometres south of Melbourne, Arthurs Seat is an easy day trip and a wonderful excuse to see a little more of the Mornington Peninsula.
