At Paringa, they have just been awarded their fourth consecutive Chef’s Hat in the Age Good Food Guide 2017. Whilst they were once known for the rustic architectural charm of their restaurant, the building now has a sleek new look.

A striking Courbusian façade and new decking dominate the exterior, but then this is no country bistro, this is fine dining at its best. Once inside the weighty door, the mood is intimate. New banquettes and floor covering add a luxurious tone. Views onto the vineyard still amaze and delight, but now there’s even more to see. Large windows at the back look into the winery, so you can watch the progress of their wines. It’s more likely, however, that you will want to focus on their food, like this exquisite dish of pea, feta & black garlic, crunchy with the flavours of spring.
